Records are meant to be broken… 18.23 minutes from Putney to Mortlake, new women’s Boat Race record.
It had never happened before that the Boat Race became a planetary televised event and that a Filippi 8+ was at the starting line of the most prestigious rowing regatta in the world, Oxford VS Cambridge.
We had already been there with Oxford, and this year we were there again with Cambridge and our F42 equipped with our latest generation carbon Aliante riggers, in the women’s race that started on the Thames at 14.23 BST on April 3rd, from Putney to Mortlake, in south-east London.
Thanks to Imogen Grant (GBR), Grace Prendergast (NZL), Caoimhe Dempsey (IRL), Bronya Sykes (GBR), Ruby Tew (NZL), Paige Badenhorst (RSA), Sarah Portsmouth(GBR), Adriana Perez(ESP) and Jasper Parish (GBR).
Thanks to coach Patrick Ryan and to all the Cambridge's staff.
